Hello crafty friends and welcome to 2021. I’m kicking off my crafts this year by creating a card making ‘go box’. This organised box of coordinating card making pieces means I’ll be able to whip up a handmade birthday card at a moments notice. This whole thing took me less than an hour to create and will keep me in birthday cards for a long time. I used the e-mark handheld printer to create card elements in no time at all.
I’m always finding that peoples birthdays sneak up on me and I’m not prepared to make them a handmade card. Well grab yourself an art carry box or a caboodle and let’s get set up with an emergency ‘go box’ for all your birthday needs! You will need a pad of patterned paper, some coordinating card stock, white tags, white card stock and your e-mark and ribbons.
I first cut and scored white card based and then got to work creating mats and layers of patterned paper. With the e-mark I have printed several sentiments and images on card, ribbon and tags. This way I have coordinating cards and gift tags. The ribbon can be used to attach the tags, decorate gifts or as part of a card design.

Now I have everything I need all organised and ready to go for birthday cards in 2021. There are so many possible combinations. You could also create a ‘go box’ as a gift for a card maker just starting out or make several for yourself in different themes such as thank you or if it’s not too soon for you to think about it ….. Christmas!
If you are feeling inspired I also have a playlist of e-mark videos available on YouTube here along with lots of other card making videos.
