Customised Christmas Baubles

Christmas is almost upon us but you still have time to make a customised bauble for your  Christmas tree or as a gift. Who wouldn’t love a personal decoration for their tree, I’ll be using these fillable baubles and resin decorations and adding personalisation with StyleTechCraft transparent glitter vinyl. It’s got the perfect amount of shine to make it festive and because it’s transparent it allows you to decorate the front and the back.

For the front of the bauble I’ll be using the resin decorations, I added a small amount of super glue and used white tack (white blue tack) to help it hold in place while the glue dries.

Next it’s time to add some personalisation, using vinyl. I created four text designs using, silver holographic, pink, red and grey vinyl. Once cut It’s time to weed out the pieces of vinyl you don’t want in your final design. Don’t forget to remove the inner pieces of the letters. IMG_0719

Once weeded you can trim away any excess backing paper and cover the design in transfer tape. You will want to burnish this well to make sure the vinyl sticks to the transfer so you can move the design onto the bauble easily.

Peel up the transfer tape and carefully centre your design on to the bauble. Adding some small cuts around the outside of the transfer tape will help you to lay the vinyl down on to the curved surface.

Once you have everything laying flat on the bauble gently press on the vinyl to adhere it to the plastic and remove the transfer tape. Now your baubles are ready to hang or to gift!
