Hi everyone thanks for joining me on the Love From Lizi summer blog hop. For todays projects i’ve decided to use the tropical summer mega pack which is incredibly jam packed full of summery goodness and given that today is the first day of summer I had to go with a holiday theme.
I took one of the beautiful double sided 8 by 8 papers and cut it into four 4 by 4 inch background pieces.
I then used four different dies to cut a shape from the background paper and from the gold glitter card included in the kit ready for some die cut inlay.
As the patterned papers are double sided I used two of each design.
I used double sided tape to attach the patterned backgrounds to some 4 1/4 square card bases ensuring that the die cut opening was covered with tape to make inlaying the pieces a breeze. I used a green Altenew ink and the caligraphy stamp set from the kit to create custom sentiments.
For a final finish touch I added some gold sunglasses onto the pineapple because well what self respecting pineapple doesn’t have gold sunglasses?! I also drew round two of the sentiments with a white gel pen to help them ‘pop’ against the patterned background.

Hi Laura I just came from Ruth’s page on the Love From Lizi summer blog hop. I love how you used the tropical summer mega pack almost like a one page wonder where you used an 8 by 8 paper and cut it into four 4 by 4 inch background pieces and got 4 cards out of it! And don’t you just love the dies in this mega pack??? The caligraphy stamp set from the kit just made your cards!! It’s all about the sentiment and perfect for each of the four cards, love them! These are so much fun! I’m really digging the smaller card bases. It is nice to change things up a bit and I love the feathered looking pattern paper. That is one of my favs from the pack!

I love little square cards! Sadly, it costs more to post square envelopes in the US (???) so I have to use rectangle envelopes. Not the same, but they still work!!

Aren’t these fabulous?? That patterned paper is amazingly versatile and I love the inlay die cutting with some seriously blingy paper. No wonder the pineapple needed sunglasses…. thank you so much for having me on the hop! Xx
