Well it’s been an interesting journey trying to create my new craft room. The room I’ve chosen needed to be re-plastered and to have a window removed that was on the wall between the hallway and the room.
I can only assume it was put there to let more light into the hallway but now we have had new spotlights installed in the hallway it’s bright enough not to need the window.
Once he plastering was completed I chose a pale cream colour for two of the walls and a bright turquoise blue for the other two walls. I’m super excited with how the paint turned out and I think it has really brightened up the small room.
After a lot of measuring and planning I decided on the furniture for the room, thanks in part to the comments left for me on Instagram when I asked my crafty followers which items they couldn’t live without in their craft rooms.
I’ve gone for 2 Kallax storage units, a set of Alex drawers and a raskog. For my desk I was torn between the corner desk I had planned and having a straight desk. In the end I decided a straight desk would be better for me so I’m waiting on the new straight desk to arrive. I have two of the Alex under desk storage drawers ready for under the desk.
Now all I need to do is figure of my shelving and above desk storage and I’ll be good to go! Perfect timing too as its STAMPTember and Simon says stamp are celebrating all month long with exclusive limited stamp sets and discounts!
I hope to be back with you all soon with some more fun crafty projects and a craftroom tour.
